jaki good Questions About God?

A seeker is someone on a spiritual journey seeking for what is true. Seekers may be checking out the claims of Christianity or exploring the community of the church, but they have not yet committed themselves to following Christ. Seekers are trying to figure out who God is, and how He might relate to them. They are likely aware of a spiritual dimension to their lives, but aren’t sure how or if traditional religion fits in.

If you are a seeker, we want you with us. Even those of us who have already committed ourselves to the truth of Christianity recognize we were once seekers (and in many ways still are), and realize that seeking is a journey that moves ahead with time evaluation and experience.
We are developing a church community and weekend gathering in which you can feel safe and at home. We want you to know that...

It’s OK to be friends with people here without believing the same things.

It’s OK to have doubts and ask questions.

It’s OK not to agree with everything that is said here.

In other words, it’s OK to be true to yourself in your process of seeking. It’s our hope and prayer that as you feel comfortable seeking the truth and experiencing the love of God the Father together with us that God will more fully reveal Himself to you and that you will come to experience Him: His forgiveness and healing, laughter and joy, meaning and hope.

YOU matter to Him and you matter to us. That’s why we’d be really glad to have you come and seek with us. Whatever your background, whatever your beliefs, whatever your ethnicity or age, whatever your mistakes, doubts, failures or pain, you are welcome in the community of RVCC. None of us has lived the way we wish we had. All of us here need the forgiving and healing touch of a loving God. If you have made a mess of your life, you’re in good company. We have too. In many ways, that’s why we’re here at River Valley as well.
